Exhibition visas can be obtained by applying to consulates, visa application centers, or visa consulting agencies. Citizens applying for this type of visa must obtain a barcoded invitation from the exhibition organizer or the organizer’s website.

Exhibition visa applications are processed within 2 to 4 weeks after the appointment date. Exhibition visa applications are processed more quickly than tourist visa applications.

The consulate determines the validity periods for trade fair visas. Consulates may issue trade fair visas to attendees only for the duration of the fair, or for 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months. Those who have previously held a long-term Schengen visa may be issued trade fair visas with longer validity periods.

A trade show visa is easier to obtain than many other types of visas. To make it easier to get a trade show visa, the industry you work in should be similar to the industry of the trade show you plan to attend.

For trade show visa applications, your bank account must have at least 1,000 €—or the equivalent in TL or $—for each week of travel. You are not required to hold funds in euros or U.S. dollars in your bank account. You can also apply for a trade show visa by submitting bank statements showing a sufficient balance in Turkish lira.

A bank statement from the company you work for is a document required by the consulate for trade show visa applications. However, provided certain conditions are met, it is possible to apply for a trade show visa without submitting a company bank statement. If a company does not wish to share its bank account information with its employees or the consulate for a trade fair visa application, it must state in its letter of request that it cannot disclose bank account transactions for security reasons. Additionally, the company must include in the letter of request a statement confirming that travel expenses are covered by the company. Citizens who include this note in their company’s letter of request will be able to apply for a trade fair visa without submitting the company’s bank account statement.

A visa invitation for trade show visits can be obtained via email from the organizing company or by registering on the company’s website. The invitation obtained from the organizer for a trade show visa must be printed on letterhead, stamped, and signed; the invitation obtained from the website must include a QR code and the applicant’s first and last name.

The application for a trade fair visa must be prepared on the company’s letterhead, stamped and signed by the company’s official representative. The trade fair visa application must explicitly state, at a minimum, the travel dates, the intention to attend the trade fair, and that the travel expenses will be covered by the company.
